both new Auburn HC Alex Golesh and OC Joel Gordon — separately and combined — have had a consistent track record of strong quarterback play in their offenses

…especially when compared to what the Tigers have had in recent seasons

It was a similar result to the last two losses, but the process was different. And that's what the Tigers say they'll take away as SEC play looms.

this is true, I was there
The last time A&M failed to score through three quarters, they lost to an Auburn team coached by Cadillac Williams

good morning from Indy, where Auburn faces its final massive non-con test today against Purdue

- can Kevin Overton’s return spark something?
- get ready to run and run and run
- the free-throw battle should be the biggest wild card
- hang in there down low and see what happens
The Stretch 4: Auburn needs a new recipe to take on Purdue in Indy
The roles are reversed for the Tigers in their rematch with the Boilermakers. What do they have to do to get a real shot at a major upset?

inside this week’s mailbag:

- how do you build great SEC offensive lines these days — and can Auburn do it in a new era?
- what kind of WRs does the Alex Golesh offense use?
- where’s the next quality win for Auburn basketball?
- what I like about Kaden Magwood
- Christmas stuff
Mailbag 234: How can Auburn build a better OL in this new era?

Auburn basketball got the Las Latinas food truck to come by after practice for the players and the staff, which is a move that I think should impact the point spread for the Purdue game on Saturday

let’s open it up for the mailbag this week

shoot me your Auburn basketball, Auburn football and/or Christmas questions, and we’ll answer them in Friday morning’s edition of the Observer

please and thank you

new Auburn HC Alex Golesh’s Year 1 staff is complete, and the assistants have combined for 172 seasons of coordinator or position coach experience in college — including 93 in power conferences and 49 in the SEC alone

that’s a significant increase from the last two Year 1 staffs
What makes Alex Golesh's Year 1 staff at Auburn truly stand out
Especially compared to his last two predecessors, Golesh has a group of assistants that is much heavier on relevant coaching experience.

Observations: Auburn 92, Chattanooga 78

- this was bad defense at a bad time for Auburn
- an unselfish decision leads to unselfish offense
- more than just piling up points for Keyshawn Hall
- Tahaad Pettiford looks dialed in again
- Rotation Charts
- Nerd Stats
- QOTN
Observations: Auburn 92, Chattanooga 78
Even with a win, the Tigers missed an opportunity to show real improvement in Atlanta, and the pressure's on to respond before Purdue.

The Stretch 4 is here to preview Auburn’s matchup with Chattanooga in Atlanta:

- Auburn’s assist has to get better
- Tahaad Pettiford can score… but can he facilitate more?
- the Tigers will have a significant size advantage
- but Chattanooga could be dangerous vs. this defense
The Stretch 4: Can Auburn get back to its identity in Atlanta?
The Tigers have had a week to recover from their loss at Arizona, and they're looking to return to their brand of ball against Chattanooga.
