The Plesiosaurus is actually based on an animatronic of a plesiosaurus named Lucy, who was used for a mockumentary called "Lochness Monster: The Ultimate Experiment". Fun stuff.

Apple had its own online service like America Online and CompuServe in 1994 called eWorld. It was $9/mo, plus an additional $5-9 for each hour, depending on weekday or weekend hours. The service lasted less than 2 years.
