Just rediscovered this 1Bit top-down Zelda like RPG mockup I did a while ago. It's called "Morguetown" and thought to be a weird mashup of a post death western where you play a skeleton undertaker that has to save the city from... idk yet..

I wear a dumb smart watch, but if I didn't get used to having the pedometer and heart rate tracking I'd still wear a simple watch cause my wrist feels empty without one

In Yoshi's Island, a cave background sparkles, but only when Yoshi moves. This is achieved in an inventive way by making many 1-pixel "pinholes" in the background through which a field of stars is visible. The parallax motion shows the stars intermittently, creating sparkles.

And the redraw is done! The first one on the right was done earlier this spring/summer, and it no longer fit with the style I was going for in this game so I redrew it to match the current style I want!

I had to entirely re-export this. I drew it nine years ago and the files were corrupted.

It was funny opening up the old files and seeing how different my priorities were and how many basic mistakes I was making.

This sequence was my baby back then and I remember being so proud of it.
