Picked up Metroid Prime 4 and I have to give them applause for the gorgeous art direction, it’s some of the best I've seen in a Nintendo game from recent memory. Loving the nods to classic sci-fi, Giger influence feels even stronger than usual in this one.

Sometimes I wish there was a way to convey the amount of invisible work which actually goes into making art. Saying ”it took me x hours” or showing a time-lapse just isn’t really enough to tell an entire picture of the process or the mental rollercoasters that come with it.

Something only my long-time followers really know: I authored and illustrated a graphic novel 10 years ago, published only in Finnish. It was about a boxing champion having to come to terms with himself after losing his title – I made it as kind of an antithesis to many similar stories at the time.

After I wrap up my thesis work and graduate next year, I really want to start doing more artist alleys and update the look of my table. While functional, it’s always been pretty basic for years – think it’s a high time to change that for 2026.
