The way tech companies constantly do stuff that nobody asked for really tells you a lot about their bigger ideology. They tell themselves that you will like it over time. What they mean is you’ll learn to endure it, or you’ll give up. quality of UI is not actually anywhere on their radar
new iOS update is sleek and also defaults in Music to “you must want songs transition as they would on a dance floor.” so many people will wonder why they can’t just listen to an album. Apps > Music > Song Transitions > toggle off.

Seeking asylum is not illegal.

People entering the country by irregular means without any other option are not breaking the law.

The Govenrment should be showing humanity not further brutality

We must #ChangeTheNarrative!

Dr Beth Upton was fully acquitted of all wrongdoing in yesterday’s Employment Tribunal decision. Yet she has been vilified by a toxic & poisonous media for months.
It must stop!

Congratulations, and solidarity, to you, Beth!

I'd pay good money just to see her argument for these biscuits being "biologically male"

Thank you all, the update than we can barely believe we get to make.

To everyone who supported us through this last month, we couldn’t have even come close to this outcome without you all.

Have a peaceful festive period, we’ll see you in the bookshop soon 🧡

It is so sad to see new exclusionary policies from Girlguiding, where trans girls had been so included before.

The Woodcraft Folk is a brilliant, inclusive, non-segregated alternative for young people seeking fun, adventure and community!

We're watching the wholesale burning of every scrap of dignity afforded to trans people in the UK, their rights, their medical services, their employment, their place within society, their bodily functions.

It is a disgrace, and a disgusting stain on the government and media of this country.

So fundamentally britain’s bigots think the space in the UK is only for THEM. They don’t want to see any minorities be that people of colour trans or disabled or any combination thereof in their line of sight. Deeply sad people who can’t mind their business

There's a special place in hell for the ghouls and jackals who are using the Supreme Court ruling as a stick with which to threaten women's organisations, many of which have welcomed trans women for years or decades. It doesn't achieve anything or make anyone safer, it's just performative cruelty.

What many politicians don't realise - or want to understand - is that many of the "highly-skilled" immigrants whose labour they crave were raised by the same asylum seekers and refugees they openly despise. They take the racist political rhetoric personally, and act accordingly. Why wouldn't they?
"Record numbers of overseas-trained doctors are quitting the UK, leaving the NHS at risk of huge gaps in its workforce, with hostility towards migrants blamed for the exodus...the NHS is so heavily reliant on doctors from elsewhere – 42% of its entire medical workforce qualified overseas."
All those people, including current government, who falsely claim migrants are to blame for failings with the NHS, along with infrastructure in general, are in for one hell of a shock with how much worse things will get with Labour's anti-immigration policies.

It's Trans Day of Remembrance.

They won't ever be able to get rid of us, no matter what. No amount of hateful legislation can change the fact of our existence.

Nothing pretty or meaningful to say for #TransDayOfRemembrance this year. Just a scream into the void where I thought people's hearts were, once.

In 1999, the Transgender Day of Remembrance (TDoR) was founded by US activists Gwendolyn Ann Smith, Nancy Nangeroni, and Jahaira DeAlto to honour the memory of Rita Hester, a Black trans woman who was murdered the previous year.

Her murder remains unsolved.
Remembering Rita Hester, Who Changed What It Means to Remember Trans Lives
Rita Hester’s 1998 murder inspired a movement, but it’s just as important to remember her life as her death.

Today is International Men’s Day. So here’s to refugee men fleeing abuse, trans men denied healthcare, queer men bullied for being different, Black men racially profiled, disabled men excluded from work, and all the other men who fail at being “real men.” May we continue to cultivate our humanity.
