At #UNEA7 the Citizen Science Global Partnership and @unbiodiversity.bsky.social discussed bolstering citizen science in support of the implementation of the #KMGBF.

We never have enough data and information, but we certainly have enough to act to halt and reverse biodiversity loss.

The IUCN Asia and Western Asia regional offices will host Support Centres that are part of the Technical and Scientific Cooperation Mechanism of the CBD: cbd.int/article/sbi4...

Their support will boost the implementation of the Global Biodiversity Framework #KMGBF.

#GEF9 is an opportunity to leverage synergies for integrated solutions to the planet's ailments.

On the eve of #CITESCoP20 in Uzbekistan (the first of CITES to be held in Central Asia), the high-level segment focused on key elements of the Global Biodiversity Framework #KMGBF: wildlife trade, conservation, monitoring and finance.

At the gateway to the Amazon, #COP30 took place as geopolitical tensions continue to rise.

Achieving progress in such uncertain times was never guaranteed. Yes we need to do much more, but COP30 has shown the #ParisAgreement is delivering results.

The global conversation taking place at #COP30 in Belém included a reflection on Sustainable Ocean Planning and Management (SOPM).

Action for #OurOcean, including the conservation and restoration of marine and coastal biodiversity, must play an important role in #ClimateAction.

At #COP30 the Presidencies & Secretariats of the Rio Conventions joined forces to promote integrated action on climate, biodiversity and land.

Synergies are the only way forward. The world needs to take bold steps for progress across the Rio Conventions’ interlinked objectives.

Today the #COP30 side-event organized by Armenia addressed the need for coherence across biodiversity-related policies, in line with Decision 16/22 of the Parties to the CBD.

Delighted to see that #COP17Armenia will build on #COP16Colombia outcomes to take the synergy agenda forward.

Today at #COP30, the COP Presidencies of the CBD, UNCCD
and UNFCCC convened a reflection on bridging agendas by strengthening synergies across land, climate and nature, and fostering whole-of-society action in support of implementation.
