The WHO is having to step in to fill gaps left by the US in the latest Ebola outbreak in Uganda, WHO emergencies chief Mike Ryan told Bloomberg.

The WHO's relationship with China is a key reason for the US exit. That influence could now increase as countries in Asia and the Middle East step into the gap left by the US, Anders Nordström, former acting director-general at the WHO told Bloomberg.
