I had plans to do A LOT of things this week, among them new pages, but a family health scare dropped from out of the blue. Things seem to be going well now, but it took most of my attention these past couple of days. I will miss tomorrow's update. New page will arrive a couple of days late. Sorry.

#webcomic #spiderforest It took way longer than expected and I am very sorry for that, but it's DONE! All pages have been upgraded and translated, rewrites are done and all systems are up and running in a new server. Next page will be COMPLETELY NEW and will arrive this Saturday

#webcomic #webcomics #spiderforest 7 years I have been stuck with the 1st story I've published in my site rewriting it 3 times. Last week I posted the last page of the rewritten story. It's not perfect not will ever be but FINALLY I am happy with it. Now I move on to new episodes!

Site update: When a story episode is unfinished, it will start loading from the most recent page, and previous pages will lazy-load when scrolling upwards. If the story is already finished then it will start loading from the first page and following pages will lazy-load when scrolling downwards.

I must post more often on socials, but making a page takes time, I am not good at making witty posts, so I focus on drawing so as to have new pages as soon as possible, A big reason why I don't post as often as other creators. Anyways, next page sketch is ready. Inking now. Will be uploaded soon.

I had a similar conundrum with my ssl. You should check letsencrypt and certbot so you can get your ssl for free, as it should be. (Hosting services that charge for ssl are just evily squeezing money out of their users)

I have been updating the code of the site, that's the reason many buttons weren't working properly. I've just finished that step and all the basic systems are working properly again. And there's a new comic page too!

Server, ssl, databases and everything else are up and running correctly. Now I start uploading the site's files. It's my first time building my own virtual server just using the shell. For many professionals must be just a daily occurrence but for me I feel quite happy and proud.

The server is already up and running and the ssl is correctly installed, and I did it all by myself. Very smalls steps I know but for me it feels like a big achievement.

Hi! It's been a while!
Big step: I upgraded to an unmanaged virtual private server. That means more power to make my site do cool stuff, but it also means that the site will be down for a while as I have to rebuild everything from the ground up. Won't take long 🤞
