Can confirm. I live in Sweden. I've got a licence but never had the need to own a car while living here.

Had one while I lived in the UK, though. Unless you're going to/from London, public transport there isn't great. And the fact they're barely paid so constant strikes.

That being said, very little in fiction bothers me, so I've very rarely had to do this. Usually it's boredom that makes me go do something else, not sex scenes.

If there's ever a scene that I'm truly not in to, I do this thing where I think "I guess this book isn't for me," and go read something else.

Sometimes the awkwardness is endearing, or the discomfort is compelling.

But if I really just don't like it? I move on instead of condemning the author.

I wouldn't call people "hermaphrodites" either. It's not a whole lot better than "futa". It's generally used to describe nonsapient animals, thus is dehumanising. Mixed sex characteristics in humans are usually referred to as intersex.

Lizard of the day: Sungazer!
They owe their name to their peculiar pose when basking in the sun! Their scientific name, Smaug Giganteus, was taken from the legendary dragon from TLotR! They're South African, dig their own burrows and are ovoviviparous!

Not to mention that not a single motorist dips their lights for cyclists or pedestrians.

I do when I drive but... I've yet to meet a motorist who has dipped their main beams for me while I've been on a bike or walking.
