Evil is a form of stupidity
A simpler version of that thread is that LLMs are to some degree a replacement for their own inputs, and it will be interesting to see how that shakes out.
To be clear I’m not sure this is a bad thing. Killing the ad-supported web sounds pretty good. What replaces it, though? The commercial web has been an exercise in making expensive things seem free to the consumer.
When your whole ecosystem is built on eyeballs and then you take away the eyeballs what happens
This tongue-in-cheek suggestion brought to you by reports that Google AI overviews are drastically reducing site visits, killing the revenue stream for the sites that Google depends on
Man, exciting to have cracked this one, what other pressing world issues can I solve this morning
I solved it. AI companies should pay people to create high quality information to train LLMs on, and anyone with a subscription to the sponsoring AI gets access to that content as well.

“The difficult we do immediately; the impossible takes a little longer.”
man, Piranesi is so good!
Post, then read, then delete, then post edited version. This is the only way to be
I’m re-reading Piranesi, and I re-read Jonathan Strange and Mr. Norrell earlier this year. There’s an element of psychological horror to both that really jumps out at me now. I hadn’t missed it the first time around, but it’s a bigger element than I first thought. Very effective and moving.
lol I got one of these today as well. “IT’S HERE” cracks me up every time
Just realized half of the playoff teams are from Great Lakes states. Best region in the country in so many ways
Oh clearly Fickell, right?! Franklin has had success.
The reds were in the playoffs this year.
Someone with a reds hat at the brewers-cubs game 🤔
Honestly it seems to me that more than anyone they are the one team no one wants to play. Incredible.
Stay tuned for the follow-up, “what if Mr. Rogers was nice?”
No, just started looking pretty recently. Good idea though.
