Poet. Born in the wrong time. Writing distracts me from life. #poet #writer Please consider checking out my first poetry book on my author website: http://www.scottandrewkass.com My Ko-fi: https://ko-fi.com/arahncur

(1/2) I have just published my first book of poetry, The First Scar. It took absurd effort, and I'm proud to have done it entirely by myself.

It is available on any Amazon region's site, but foremostly UK. If you enjoy my work on BlueSky, I would greatly appreciate your interest in my book.

Thank you so much! I'm very glad you appreciate it. I have doubts about my work very often because it's in the old styles, and so it's usually overlooked, but comments like this mean a lot to me and keep me writing.
Thank you very much! It was an enormous undertaking on my part, and I'm glad it's finished. Please check it out!
@jennnne.bsky.social Thank you! I appreciate the repost as well!

Part I of something I'm currently writing called "Rooms of Light."
Thank you. I wrote this like I've written a lot of my older work: out of utter frustration. I like how it feels to vent through poetry rather than just to sit down and decide to write a poem on a whim. It has to have power.
Thank you! It was insanely complicated to properly format poetry with free software. I'm glad it's done!
Beautifully-put. The topic reminds me of Ozymandias. Thank you for sharing this!
Even asteroids try and try again, eh?
This is great! I like the alternating adherence to rhyme here. The word choice seems like you spent a good amount of time making sure you chose those you most felt, as one should when writing poetry. Well-written. Thank you for sharing!
@neopoiesis.bsky.social Thank you kindly for reposting this work!
Thank you! I have to remind myself often about the important things in life. I wrote this years ago, apparently when I really needed to remember.
I like the last verse; it really is the journey, not the destination. In fact, I kind of wish there was no destination at all.
I would have to think about the usefulness of a trailer for this book in particular, honestly. I appreciate your offer, and I'll get back to you on it.
Thank you for checking it out! I'm currently writing other poetry, along with the big project I've been working on for a long long time... but right now I'm trying to publicize The First Scar as much as I have the financial capacity to.
Hi, Jamiu. May I ask how you came across the book? The "scar" refers to the book itself being traditional poetry in a world of mostly contemporary verse. Through the book, and hopefully others, I'm trying to reignite peoples' interest in the old classical styles. Doubtful, but I try.
