makes me weep to think of the gifts robbed from us because unaffordable housing has made it difficult for people to pursue their passions and hobbies

Experimental post: Mode 7? What About Modes 1-6?
Some games on the SNES, such as Super Mario Kart, boasted "Mode 7" technology. However, this raises the question of what happened to the previous modes. This post explains them and gives examples of their usage in Mario games.

I just checked to see if it worked on Firefox and nope. Still a bunch of garbage Sponsored/Ad crap in my search feed.
Its not Youtube. Chrome, the browser, no longer supports Ublock. For awhile there were work-arounds you could use to override this, but even those are all defunct now. It's been an issue for 6-12 months already. Makes me sad because it's a useful extension.
I probably don't have to state the obvious but, the internet kiiiinda sucks and is only getting worse. I wish there was more than one dominant/mainstream video website, but at this rate I'm just stuck using Youtube because that's my only option.
I don't have much free time, and the free time I have, I don't want to spend jumping through hoops to visit a website I don't even really like anymore, configuring settings, setting up things that inevitably won't work anyway, etc. So I just don't unless I have to.
The problem with incognito mode is, it doesn't show a lot of videos by default, and then any monetized video isn't allowed to be played in that mode (probably because they can't determine an ad profile for me, which is a whole OTHER issue).

So browsing is basically impossible.
The long answer is:

I have to browse in incognito mode because years of "don't recommend this" doesn't stop them from promoting the most vile videos in my feed, and when YT should be my "relax time" website, I just don't need to see these things.
(continued)
Chrome no longer supports Ublock :( & they keep patching out all the manual workarounds.

I already use Adblock where I can but that has its own drawbacks.

I've been on Youtube since it started, I've literally tried *everything*. It's just clearly not a platform that wants me as a customer.

Sadako crawling out of your tv, turning motion smoothing off, then crawling back in
I used Youtube all the time to listen to my own playlists while gaming, studying etc. I stopped because of ads.

Now its just like search engines: you can't find anything, its a bunch of ads clogging up the feed & then before you can even find the video you want, you have to sit through an ad.

At least I figured out why Hello Kitty Island keeps crashing: definitely some problem with the in-game photo-taking.

Unfortunately it's a mechanic that you have to use often, and no, you can't just use the screenshot button lol.

Friends, does anyone know if there is a system for saving files in the cloud that allows me to add a little text next to the image? It's to make it easier for me so I don't have to write the ALT text again when I repost.
This post is one of those "I saw this and now you all have to see this too" things.

I have been traveling and today I present to you...the thing I saw in the Frankfurt airport.

Is it efficient? Undeniably. Does it probably work better than the normal way? Oh certainly. Produce less of a mess? Probably?

But the existence of Condiment Udders gives me a deep, aghast disquiet.

Speaking of perspective, as I'm watching MST3000, it's really given me perspective on what a bad movie is.

There are *so many* of these movies that could be summed up in one sentence. Nothing happens during them.
