I know they were outclassed but man I wished Pitt would have won. Next Saturday would have been fun. Youngest has a soccer tournament at Memorial Stadium that morning, would have stayed and done the Ascent women’s soccer game at 2. Then head over to the ACC title game.
Oh well.

On this date in 1998, Straka recorded his only "Mario Lemieux HT:" 1 even-strength goal, 1 PPG, 1 SHG @ Montreal. He's the last Pens' player to do this on the road. Only 9 Pens have done this (Mario 7x); Sid is most recent on 11/27/10 vs. Flames.

Had the coaches/refs game soccer game tonight and my 9 y/o wanted to play. He’s an aspiring goalie and wanted to go against me (former goalie). He held his own well against older kids / adults. But I scored on him - on a punt - bounced over his head and in the goal.

NCFC folding has to be because of its owner? Makes that whole MLS push a few years ago really weird.
I had thought NCFC made a good candidate to try to jump to Division 1.
Maybe they still do but the hot trend to chase in Raleigh is now big league baseball. So who knows.
