So I loathe having to do this with everyone else hurting right now but the repairs are going to be costly and I would rather earn if I can.

A lot of talented comic book creators are out there desperate for work, and while I don't have any easy answers for them, I will say that one of the BIGGEST mistakes (of MANY) that I've made in my career was waiting for the next job and not just going and making my own job on my own.

I'm not trying to be a jerk-face, but if I get hit with a follow from an account with no posts, a weird profile image, or one that is following a bunch of political stuff or accounts with questionable bot language in their profile... I'm just blocking.

Teaching a Science Fiction CW class today, and mentioned Kubrick's 2001 to illustrate a point. Out of 18, only 1 had seen it (and he wasn't super clear about it). To these—bright, creative, engaged!—20yos this was just some antique movie.
There is always That Moment when some seemingly eternal cultural touchstone falls off the radar and everyone Of An Age feels slightly unmoored. Don't worry, 30 years from now the kids will never have heard of K-Pop Demon Hunters and a bunch of Gen Alpha middle managers will be shocked and outraged
