I work as a librarian and spend most of my time chasing stories. Whether they appear in comics, traditional novels, films, shows, video games, or anywhere else, I’m usually there for it. Oh, and also football, love me some football.

I give you this baby possum that appeared in my backyard last year in these trying times
If Marvel Unlimited or DC Infinite ever take this ability away from me I would be so sad. I use it exclusively to send friends the most bonkers panels and it’s been so much fun!
And now we come to the end. The last prompt of #September_RainOfComicArt. Halloween is almost here. Which really only means one thing: IT’S HALLOWS EVEV BABEEEEEEEE!!! I came away from my Spider-man read caring even less about Ben Reilly, but I have enjoyed this turn for Janine
I’ve got a Jamaican crab singing in my head for today’s #September_RainOfComicArt. I wanted to highlight aseries I haven’t talked about yet, One Piece. This manga deserves its spot on the pantheon a thousand times over, and if you enjoy whimsy, action, dumb comedy, and revolution, it’s for you.

First look at the AI Stan Lee Hologram at LA Comic Con 🚮
Oh look, a new depth to the rage! Just what I wanted in my life!
I hate AI with a passion.
It’s a culmination of so much that is wrong with the world. A theft-machine that puts profit and product over people.
It turns out… I can hate it more.

For today’s #September_RainOfComicArt theme of “Always Fight Fascism” I went through the screenshots I’ve taken during my readthroughs and have put together a pastiche of characters saying exactly that. I wish this sentiment wasn’t so needed in our modern times, but here we are
Yeah, MK was on and off. Some really good, some stuff that just did not click with me.
ngl, I went into Claremont thinking “Everyone talks about this guy, his stuff can’t be THAT good!” And boy, was I wrong
But I also wanted to share some dumb shit I’ve come across in the last few years of reading comics. I love a good “Sweet Christmas” panel.
Today’s #September_RainOfComicArt theme is something everyone should see, so I’m gonna do a double post again. This first one if from the current Moon Knight run, and it was just so fucking cool, and the art was so amazing, I wanted to share it
So for today’s #September_RainOfComicArt I’ll use one of my favorite series of panels from GL, the introduction of Dex-Starr
For the last few years I’ve been doing character reads, meaning I pick one character or team and then read through all their bibliography. I’ve done X-Men, Daredevil, Moon Knight, the Ultimate Universe, Spider-man, and I am currently on Green Lantern.
Today’s #September_RainOfComicArt theme is celebrating women, and I’ve seen posts about both characters and creators. So I figured I’d do a little of both! Here are four of my favorite female characters being published right now, drawn by female creators, Jen Bartel and Jenny Frison!

The other part for me, and maybe only me alone, is that Di Vito also did the art on one of my favorite D&D comics! I didn’t learn that until I was looking stuff up before making this post! It’s always fun to see an artist you enjoy doing well.
I keep forgetting to say something about this, but can I list say I’ve really been enjoying the current Emma Frost series by @amychu.bsky.social and @andreadivito.bsky.social? The story has been a lot of fun, and Emma has been a great villainous protagonist!
It touched on some more recent Spidey history, it had some cool and fun side stories, and most importantly, it was fun! I’ve done a couple full events in the years since, but none have lived up to Spider Island.
Weirdly enough, my favorite crossover is less a crossover and more an expanded story arc. But for today’s #September_RainOfComicArt I want to highlight Spider Island. It was the first event I collected in full, and I loved pretty much everything about it. It brought Pete and MJ closer (cont)
I always found it funny during the Krakoa Era of X-Men when I saw a near constant bashing of the school. It baffled me, because for today’s #September_RainOfComicArt I want to highlight my favorite era of X-Men, which completely revolved around the school. I will always miss this era.
Oops, missed a day. I know it’s much more an anime thing than a manga thing, but for yesterday’s #September_RainOfComicArt you really can’t top the Gundam franchise when it comes to mecha.
Nothing quite screams over-the-top and 90s like the man, the myth, the questionable legend, Rob Liefeld. For today’s #September_RainOfComicArt I’m gonna use an image I captured to send to my friends to showcase the sheer insanity that was his art.
Fantastic Four is somewhere on my To Do list when it comes to reading comics. So for today’s #September_RainOfComicArt I’m gonna pull from Spider-man instead! This comes from the stupendous Straczynski run, and features some good characterization for Pete and MJ. Oh, and I guess Doom is there too
Did it start in a good place? Not really. Did it end in a good place? Not at all. Is today’s #September_RainOfComicArt still one of my favorite relationships in comics? Yes. The way the two trusted and supported each other through the 2000s was just the best.
And now we slip the surly bonds of Western comics to highlight one of my favorite series of the past few years. Today’s #September_RainOfComicArt is all about Kaiju No. 8. A fantastic series that just wrapped up this year with excellent story and art
