All those cases was why I could never grasp German! So confusing. I took Latin in high school, but my teacher was not the best, so I didn’t learn much. My sister has taught French for 35 years & is fluent. I LOVE being w/ her in France!🇫🇷

I’ve had many Indigenous students in my anthropology courses. Since they are so important to US culture, they often lead in my courses when we talk about language revitalization, human rights, traditional practices, etc. I encourage them to share their songs/stories/cultures w/ the class.

Yeah. White people, in general (Europeans), have excelled in that. It’s not a legacy I’m proud of. One thing I try to do in my work as an educator/anthropologist, is encourage Indigenous students in college to reach their potential. Most of these students return to their tribes to help.

What is certain, at least to me, is none of us mortals really know what lies beyond. If I die & end up worm food & pass from consciousness, I’m ok w/ that. But, I also have past life memories that are quite vivid. Thus, my belief in reincarnation. 🌏✌️

I don’t know what I believe in other than life is one plane of existence & death is part of that. But, the Spirit is everlasting. It returns to the Universe. Eventually. When it has learned.🌏✌️

Yeah, I know. I have family members on Medicaid/medicare, food stamps, SSI who keep voting for this tomfoolery. I look at them & wonder where their brains have fled. But, when you try to tell them, all they speak is nonsense.

I do know I’m Scots-Irish, but otherwise, not much is known. On my Dad’s side (Allen family), we immigrated to the colonies in the 1730s. On my mother’s side (Spanish/German), no one knows when they immigrated here, though the Spaniards took a detour into SA, since we have native heritage there.

I know some French. I lived in France for a while & was pretty good w/ the language then, over 20 years ago. But, I’m rusty now. If someone spoke to me in French, I’d just stare at them like a deer in headlights.

Lovely. I suppose I was referring more to the imagery of the card. It’s very reminiscent of Tarot. I’ve always wanted to learn the native languages of the British Isles. My heritage is 45% British Isles, 45% Germanic & 10% Iberian peninsula/South American. I have no idea how I ended up in the U.S.

This looks almost like the Moon card in the Major Arcana in Tarot decks. Ruled by Pisces. It speaks of dreams, hidden aspects & mental abilities. Yet it also reminds me of the High Priestess card, too. Very interesting. 🌏✌️

Well, I am an Atheist/Wiccan. I revere archetypes of Goddess/God, but I only really believe in reincarnation & returning to the Universe Energy.

However, I do believe in tapping into that energy. I’ve been reading Tarot for 30 years. This is very compelling, & I need to meditate on it more. 1/

What’s so sad to me is that the labor immigrants do is invaluable, but the richness they bring in their experiences is more so. Sadly, many of them have already been thru trauma in their own countries, & we are just heaping more trauma upon them. It’s sickening, & I’m ashamed of my own country. 💔🇺🇸
