Have just seen out that Brighton’s glorious duo ARXX have done the music for this new Riot Women telly series. Which is enough of a reason to watch it

(Might’ve been “what’s your alternative”. Which tracks slightly different comedically. But, is based on the same asshats)

Jeremy Hardy had a bit about that (specifically in ref to the Iraq war). When your wife catches you in congress with a farm animal you don’t ask “well, what’s your solution?”

I always wonder why job applications ask for more than a name and contact email/number. You’ll get my home address when you give me the job. Just had one really get into the realm of looking like they were identity farming. You do not need my NI number to interview me

For reasons (too long to go into) first visit to The Laurieston. Lovely place. Kinda like all pubs were back when I started drinking. (The Jarl’s sour, though)

I went to see Malcolm Middleton playing on the Golden Hinde tonight. He kept referring to it as “a pirate ship”. At the start of the night I felt this was a satire on Walter Raleigh and British imperialism. Not so much by the end of the night

Seeing much “AI bubble” discourse. As someone that lived and worked through the .com one, I’ve been thinking about boo.com the prime offender. Interestingly, now that we do have the bandwidth and tech to do so, no-one has created the same model. This is where we’ll be with AI in a few years

I assume everyone knows this, but: If I ever mention ADF it will be in reference to Asian Dub Foundation and massively celebratory.

Any other organisation uses that initialisation, I’ll name in full. And usually call them cunts

Dunno what’s funnier: That Palantir think they have a rep to damage or that even they won’t touch it

Palantir has pulled out of involvement with the UK Digital ID card, according to an interview with their UK CEO on Times Radio. They’re concerned about the reputational damage of being involved with an unpopular Starmer policy.

Every time they tell you AI did something that doesn't just involve crunching numbers / scanning though loads of medical samples or similar, it didn't. A person did it.

Oh, man. After reading the article, what it actually says is that an historian did a lot of archival work and spatial research to determine the site of a killing and then the family of the likely perpetrator stepped forward with photographs to confirm identity.
