Photograph taken using a macro setting at the back of a building in town. Some red valerian had self-seeded and was flourishing.

Deep turquoise painted wall in the background with a pink-purple flowerhead of Red Valerian as the focus point, offset to the right of frame. The flower head is made up of many tiny flowers. A few mid-green, thin and straight leaves fan out below.

Loved the vibrant colour contrast in a season where traditionally colours are gentler.
