Walmart, McDonalds and Amazon are the largest employers of people who require SNAP assistance.
The CEOs earned between 18-40 million last year, 1000x their median employee income.
They took billions in profits, while their workers relied on SNAP to survive.
Wanna fix fraud and abuse?
Fix that.

The new Affinity Suite has been released for free. Unfortunately, it needs an account with Canva to be downloaded. As a user of v2, it's does not seem they made it practical for painting purposes either. And 'free' sounds like a coming premium-feature-sub boss battle theme to me.

Is it just me or does it feels like Disney is shooting itself in the foot by blocking people from seeing what they actually offer without a subscription?

I feel like an half naked ranting man on the street to tell people not to use MS accounts for their windows. This is likely also what the ESU update extension is about: creating more acceptance of MS accounts for login in your local machine. Fuck Microsoft and Win11.

I saw this billboard in the city and was about to rage! Turns it, it’s frickin’ satire!
Tho in my defense, SF is so full of exhausting and equally ridiculous GenAi ads that for a second there I thought this was serious.
Also the art section on their site? 👩🍳 💋

Patricians, to me, are the super rich, the 1%, the people who use their money to stand above the law, pushing politics to what is favourable to them, and pay the willing to comply. Their selfish actions have led us to this situation to begin with. They are all but in title, kings.

You gently run your hand through the rack. You can feel it—pure cotton, rich wool, Irish linen. The plump buttonholes are handsewn; the buttons attached with a firm shank. You flip the price tag over. It's affordable
You buy the jacket and go home, which is only 15 mins away. Your apt is $600/month

I am as worried about big corpos collecting so much data about everyone as one - I believe - should be, but every time I see an ad for mascara, or eyeliners, or something like this, I am wondering if they even know how to use all of it to actually do target advertising properly.

If you're German, please, PLEASE write to your justice/interior minister today.

If you run into unexplainable black cells and can't see anything in Skyrim and use 'Dynamically Darker Dungeons': Don't set it to max.
I spend an hour disabling and enabling other mods before I remembered I changed the settings.

Worth always keeping in mind that the Guardian has a commercial partnership with OpenAI, so nothing it writes about AI can be trusted
Oh, man. After reading the article, what it actually says is that an historian did a lot of archival work and spatial research to determine the site of a killing and then the family of the likely perpetrator stepped forward with photographs to confirm identity.

We know so little about religious rituals in Minoan culture that I can't tell you what is happening here. But we can assume that war also played a role in them. Here my task was to imagine what it could've looked like if you were there.
