This would make it nearly impossible to find anyone to provide daily support & assistance for care. Anybody who has tried to find care knows it is already extremely difficult to find reliable & helpful ppl w consistency. Nobody wants a job that pays below minimum wage and/or doesn't pay overtime.

Today is an exciting historical day! For the first time ever, US Track & Field Nationals are an integrated event to include Paralympic track & field nationals too, at Hayward Field! This is monumental progress towards greater #disability inclusion & visibility of para sports! #TeamUSA!

This includes: University Centers for Excellence in Developmental Disabilities, National Limb Loss Resource Center, National Paralysis Resource Center, Voting Access for People with Disabilities & more (see link for full list)

The bad news: The budget does propose significant cuts to NIDILRR’s budget from $119M to $100M, and does propose to eliminate some programs. The proposed cuts to #NIDILRR will be tough, but is far better than complete elimination.

Many pgrms that were proposed to be eliminated in the leaked OMB passback are now NOT proposed to be eliminated. That includes the National Institute on Independent Living & Rehabilitation Research (#NIDILRR), Councils on Developmental Disabilities, Protection & Advocacy systems, among others.
