not referring to any specific posts i've read but I think it's pretty annoying when someone in the video game art debate (on either side) casually implies that storytelling is a central characteristic of art. Look at a painting sometime buddy

the truth is that the overwhelming majority of people who champion indie games exclusively play the stuff that sells millions, if not tens of millions, of copies, and should be classified moreso as Normie+ rather than genuinely invested in some kind of alt independent gaming scene.
