According to a recent episode of Volts, the new omnibus energy law in Illinois includes a requirement for time-of-use rates! And so, while electricity may not yet be "free" at noon, @leahstokes.bsky.social's suggestion is being taken seriously at the state level! (and should be in more states!!)

My favorite time of day is when I eat lunch with my boys. Did an incredible lunch today with braised, slow cooked pork belly, sticky rice, sautéed bok choy and braised potatoes. I joked this marae would have THEE most carvers on the river because of our family lunches. 😁
