Then, once again, I think this shot would’ve deserved to be a bit longer in order to take the time it needed on screen to show they’re okay. That’s the least a lot of us were expecting, and I believe it would’ve made all the difference.

If they aimed for "he's invincible and fine" - then they overdid the drama. Too much pain, blood, fainting, etc was showed for the viewer (and Charlie too!) NOT be worried
There was a significant buildup, on screen - but the resolution was off screen. Yes, that can be disappointing :(

agree! i dont like how its like we’re hating cuz far from it? 😭 + its not like we’re unaware they were given just 8 eps but if a fan can do a quick edit of charlie just holding onto luci while excited about pentious, then its valid to say something couldve been adjusted

Yes! I feel like we’re mocked for being invested into the story and the characters. We were worried about Luci bc they showed us he was badly injured, and we expected a better outcome for their relationship because we cared, but we shouldn’t have? Then what’s the point in caring for the show? 😢

Absolutely. The convo is important as well since it brings a sort of resolution for Pentious loneliness and him being cut-off from his only genuine friends, and more. So we don't want to remove that. We're just suggesting that they could have considered a different composition for one shot.

Her convo with pen didnt even need to be cut, they couldve shown her at least holding him up instead of just ignoring him on the side after running up to him. Yeah he cant die and was probably fine, but it goes against her supposed caring empathic self. Unless thats what theyre going for.

Oh indeed, if she called him “Dad?!” it could’ve felt very different. I thought I was alone first but then I saw how many people were expecting a little more, and I think they could’ve done it differently if they wanted to.

I agree. Just something, rather than a questioning "Dad?", running forwards and not catching him & instead of us actually seeing her comfort, asking or even touching him in some way or single frame, we instead immediately cut to Lucifer barely standing to the side, & Charlie talking to Pentious.

I was genuinely disturbed since we've been made to care about him. Why wouldn't we be upset when they neglect his pain like that?
