6th Quilt Block completed for Quilt class today at local community college. Blues, orangey and yellow shades are the dominant colors. The points line up reasonably well. 😊

7th Quilt Block completed for Quilt class today at local community college. Blue floral, blue, orangey and yellow shades are the dominant colors. The points line up pretty darn well on this one too, which is amazing considering I was under the gun to get this started/done this morning & actually completed with 20 minutes to spare before having to head out!

Fabrics cut for 6th quilt block. Blues, orangey and yellow shades are the dominant colors.

👩‍🍳 Dinner Tonight: TikTok Beet Pasta. 🫜🫜🫜🫜🫜 … really delicious, flavorful & easy.🍽️

Blue/white bowl of Beet 🫜 Pasta with herbed goat cheese on top. The red color is vibrant. I’m a big fan of the beet sauce - simple, rich, deep flavor. 🍝 (I purposefully skipped the pistachios called for in the recipe and accidentally forgot to add the basil 🌿 on top 🤦‍♀️).

Chopped sweet Vidalia onion and 1” chunks of peeled beets ready to go into the oven to roast for 40 minutes. They’ve been coated with EVOO, thyme, garlic, S&P.

Wow. Night is really dark there, unlike here without all the city lights. Truly must feel like it’s time to look at the moon, stars, totally wind down & sleep until morning sunrise. Your slice of heaven is really nice. Sleep well/stay warm! (Still upper 80°s here daytime/low 70°s early morning). 💤🌙

I understand that! That’s why I rejoice when mine have blooms. At the Dallas Arboretum, my happy place, the roses are always struggling. It’s just too hot here the majority of the time, sadly.

✈️✈️✈️✈️✈️ … a beautifully written novel about a 12 year old boy, the lone survivor of a plane crash, in which his mom, dad & older brother are amongst the 191 lives lost. Tragic, yet lovely. Highly, highly recommend.
