Remote Viewer/Hood. All that kind of loser stuff during the 90/00s indie wars. City Centre Offices, Domino, Slumberland etc but now essentially just in the waiting room for God’s waiting room.

Some kinda Hex vibes.

Didn’t do Christmas last year. So we’ve gone early this year. Apologies to those offended.

Forgive me if I said this at this time last year but some of the most evocative Christmas music isn’t anything to do with Christmas at all, just albums you got as a kid on Christmas Day.

Cio D’or’s EPs on Telrae are just fantastic. Massive influence on things that I try and do musically. Highly RIYL Pole, Dub Tractor and all that kinda crackle.

Lovely venue. Brilliant Boo Radleys gig here 93ish? Got stage dived on though.
Bradford's Wool Exchange, December 1964. Opened 1867, ceased trading later in the 1960s. Now it's Waterstones Bradford.

Long term session musician band members not asked to be in the band pictures is a very sad face emoji vibe.

Saturday. Tuesday. Repeat. Like a League two fixture schedule.
Get pasta on as early as possible in the weekly tea rotation so it’s possible to have it on a Saturday as well without anyone moaning.

Still holds up as an incredible, life changing album for me. I have however strangely come to reassess their subsequent output, with some exceptions, as a pretty dull dirge. I just can’t get past that cod yank accent like I could when I was 14.
Happy 40th birthday to Psychocandy by The Jesus and Mary Chain, which was released on this day in 1985

Weird CD I found in a box of other rubbish. Shrink wrapped so I ain’t going to open it. Would suggest a Remote Viewer track on there. An interesting list of Manchester record labels from 25 years ago!

Flying Saucer Attack, Movietone, Crescent, Amp, Third eye foundation, Foehn.. your guys took one hell of a beating.

In the eternal fashion flip flopping between skinny fit jeans and loose fit jeans the sensible course of action for a man my age is the “given up/waiting to die” fit.

I think I’m happy with the fact that my son has no interest in any of the music that I like but I’ve succeeded in convincing him of all the shit that he should avoid.

Once I’ve released some music or something and it’s gone OK I think “ahhh I wish I was 10 years younger” but then realise that’d make me 40 and I’d still be way past the date I should have given up.

Actually well stressful. I’ve got a free vegetable, bakery item and hand wash going begging but I can’t get up there before the deal expires. Could have had complimentary carrots on toast and even washed my hands before making it.
Got accepted for a Lidl Plus account.

You heard them. Go and make a Croatian beach festival possible for us next year.
also, massive and eternal props to The Remote Viewer, one of the great forgotten bands of our time - if you've any interest in Hood, Talk Talk, Pole, Bark Psychosis or even the contemporary Escho+related scene - we strongly recommend spending some time
