It's different if we're calling out actual sexual predators or abusers. But the last thing we need right now, in a moment in history where creatives are actively being shunned and more people are out of work, is pitting people against each other for nothing burgers.

I can't believe we're still getting people fired from jobs for stuff they draw.

We REALLY aren't in a place to be start petty drama with others. Esp most artists we think are hugely successful online are not so much so. You're just slinging shit at your neighbors, some barely making ends meet.

The way I view the arts is pretty simple...
I don't have competition, I have comrades. Art is far more enjoyable when you treat it less like an arena through a lens of comparison and more like a journey with people to learn from along the way.

My thoughts on the whole AI mess: I still think there's really good uses for AI, like in the medical field for cancer detection.

BUT the vast majority of what it's being used for is grifting, spying, censorship, and stealing, and the bad currently outweighing the good can't be overstated.

I understand that most of the time fretting about this stuff or sheltering people from it it is not ill-intentioned. It's mainly a systemic thing but it ironically produces a lot of perverts...

When your mind's been trained to think about the human body, particularly female bodies, as "sinful" and listening to people obsessively fretting about how long or short skirts should conceal legs... it really points out the body as sexual and hard-wires your psyche
