Discworld QOTD, from Feet of Clay
Is the president literally shitposting
It's been a while since I made a double entendre. I'm just not feeling myself
I mean, they don't want to be called bigots, that's why they say "it's bad" rather than "I don't like it". Because then they'd have to explain what they don't like about it
"The Mancunian Candidate"? Is that anything? Surely by now
And here I thought it was about quality control
D&D is founded on flexibility and adaptability, so it's odd when people insist it can only be one thing.

I'm sure when Dark Sun came out, there were people who complained it wasn't true to the spirit of D&D and wondered why everything was psionics nowadays, no wonder they were losing money
(Cynical hindbrain suspects they are aware that they mean "this is not to my taste" but do not want to be caught saying that because they are aware on some level that they're being wrongheaded)
Caught myself typing "I miss the days when" which is almost always a nostalgia trap.

I suppose people have always confused "this is not to my taste" with "this is low quality" so I'm not going to waste time wishing fandom was great again
Not everything has to be Boris Vallejo

In this realm, your story is yours to tell.
KOBOLD BARD shikka shikka shikka
Honestly I'd rather be named after something slightly obscure that my parents loved, than a big pop culture phenomenon of the moment. It's much less cringe
Hmm, no instances of "Crash" in freely available UK name search databases, but apparently they intentionally omit names with extremely low incidences so
I mean ... I can see a kid being called "Crash", but like. You don't get the surname
Of course, in the North, we barm for initiative.

The BBC are accidentally running the subtitles to Mrs Marple over the Mercury Prize, and it’s rather wonderful. A few of lines could plausibly have been written by Jarvis.

I registered my Xbox Live Account in _2002_ you absolute gibbons.
I'm just super bad at making time for myself to read. I'm still in the Krakoa era
... If you showed me this photo out of context, there is no scenario in which I'd have guessed "church"
I love when it's unclear whether the writer is underscoring that their story takes place in a fantasy world, or revealing their honest beliefs
