This looks awesome, Pyrite64 is a full blown N64 game engine (as in, modern definition of game engine, unity/godot style). Curious how much steam it'll pick up. Developing for retro consoles today has shown to be a great way for indie devs to stand out from the crowd.

it has taken me 44 years to appreciate Aphex Twin. Now I religiously play his best ambient works almost every evening, to decompress after work.

I live in a dichotomy where my work is all about AI while everyone else in my day-to-day european life could not care less for AI. Interesting times.

Bangaioh for N64 has been translated! Ok, you could already play this on Dreamcast, but the chunky trilinear interpolated sprites of the OG are fantastic. It's a masterpiece of a game, mixing puzzles and bullet hell in a way that is just genius. Go play it!

Vintage toy museum in Venice
(Creature Di Gomma) managed to rescue and restore a WORKING Ufo Robot Grendizer joyride. They also took it around Venice on a boat, with its pilot Aktarus. Because, why not.
Look at the face of first boy to ride that thing in who knows how many decades!

the outcome of all the AI slop on socials is I skipped watching this trailer until now because I thought it was fake. This is what they are taking from us!

ever since I can remember messing with graphics code I made my own debug drawing utilities.
First one was for Lightwave, then came XSI, Maya, Unity, etc. Time goes by and now an LLM is writing it for me. How crazy is that.

remembered I had an unfinished run with Majora's Mask on N64 and decided to complete that first, before moving on (sorry Shenmue, just a little bit longer).
I had forgotten one thing about this game, MY GOSH IT'S SO FUCKING CREEPY!!

Rolled credits on Dragon Quest V Ds ✌️
Help me pick the next game from my "must play before I die backlog" 💀

yesterday got very close to the final big guy in Dragon Quest V. This game is amazing and I won't stop ranting about it ever, just, why do jrpgs have to make you sweat so much right until the end 💦

I almost missed #PortfolioDay! I’m Chris, a 3D artist/illustrator from the PNW. I've been getting more into Game Art this past year.

about to finish Dragon Quest V, very tempted to go all in on Shenmue next.
Steam Deck will no doubt kick every other console I own even in 2026!

amazing video from Mike on all the hurdles and optimizations it takes to make a real-time SDF engine. We went through those as well, it's A LOT. A must watch if you ever wondered what it takes to get away from polgons and keep things scalable 💦
