The problem are not juniors and/or interns. The problem is AI tools can't be trusted (yet) to produce safe and correct code, so what these tools produce needs to be carefully checked. AI can help them to move around a large code base, but it won't be enough to ensure the code is correct.

As an heavy AI tools user (mostly Claude Code) I can say this is not smart, imho. You need a senior to spot hallucinations and mistakes. Code needs to be working and correct not creative. The fact they are doing this, doesn't mean it's good.

Hold on... don't fret yourself.. I'm supporting Neovim but I'm quite far from learning how to use it yet 😜

I mean codex. I use Claude Code daily for work. I seriously miss "plan mode", better understanding of how to use tools, inheriting env variables from the terminal etc... even OpenCode + gpt-5 (which is an open source agent compatible with multiple providers) is much much better than codex + gpt-5

I agree with all these points. It’s just not ready to be used for serious work. Ok-ish for vibe coders maybe
