I had to disable sandbox in Claude Code. It was essentially the source of all my issues. A sandbox is useless if it doesn’t know how to work around it. Some tests were skipped simple because they had issues from inside it and were not retried without sandbox (thankfully CI catches these).

I fell for it too. This gave me the opportunity to try FastMail and realise it wouldn't offer me anything more than GMail (on the other side: I would loose a lot of feature). I also can't get rid of Google account for many other reasons so I guess I'm sticking with it 🤷🏻‍♂️
since the "google is now training gemini on your email contents" thing keeps bumping around here: it's _not happening_. I say this not to defend google but because I know a lot of people that have broken their filtering and made their lives much more annoying from sheer misinformation.
The malwarebytes Google opting-your-emails-into-ai-training thing is not true. The post is based on one bad tweet.

I know anti-tech lamenting is a Bluesky core principle, but please use the same judgement you would for any other clickbait.

If you use OpenCode, in addition to your existing Claude and Copilot subscriptions, you can also use your OpenAI and Google ones:

Amusing: Google does not allow its devs to use its newly launched IDE, Antigravity, for development.

Classic example of “externalisation” at Google: they have an *internal* (increasingly different!) version of it, but they won’t use what they launched to everyone else

Almost heaven, North Virginia
Data centers, cloudy failure
Life is old there, older than code
You deploy again, but it still won’t load

AWS, take me home
To the zone, where I belong
North Virginia, Route 53’s crying
Take me home, AWS down

We are alarmed by reports that Germany is on the verge of a catastrophic about-face, reversing its longstanding and principled opposition to the EU’s Chat Control proposal which, if passed, could spell the end of the right to privacy in Europe. signal.org/blog/pdfs/ge...

Does anyone of my contacts / followers here play Magic the Gathering?

I used to play it like ~20 years ago. I don't have a deck nor cards anymore but I wouldn't have time / opportunity to play in person. Does anyone play it online somehow?

It's something stronger than me: if a Youtube video has a stupid face from the author as thumbnail preview, I can't bother clicking. And I see it's quite common thing. What is that? Some shit guru told you will get more clicks if you do it and you all believed it?

There is a special place in hell for those who disable copy paste and password managers in password fields. I’m talking to you Fineco developers. Yes, the same who limit the password length to 8 chars 🤬

I was today year old when I found out the existence of #MLOL (Media Library On Line) to borrow #ebooks in Italy 😏

You need to register to a library (not many allow you to do it online: I joined Roma and Bologna ones), usually 2 books/month limit, return after 14 dd .... but it works and it's free 🙂

TIL: codex doesn't inherit your env variables set in your shell, so any tool invocation won't work if it relies on the presence of a set env variable 🙄

This is a brand new Claude Code session.

28% of the context is already taken by MCP tools (Sentry, CircleCI, Context7, Atlassian), without even asking any questions.

Don't add MCP tools when a valid CLI alternative is available.
