Finished a playthrough of Batman: Arkham Asylum over the last few days. A masterpiece. Such a love for the source material, a perfect mix of aggressive stealth and hand-to-hand combat that makes you feel like you're a threat to everything and almost zero fat on it. As good as it gets, that one.

Finished a playthrough of Batman: Arkham Asylum over the last few days. A masterpiece. Such a love for the source material, a perfect mix of aggressive stealth and hand-to-hand combat that makes you feel like you're a threat to everything and almost zero fat on it. As good as it gets, that one.
Not arsed about the Metroid scores, I'll play it eventually.

Here's me on Metroid Prime 4, which has some good ideas, feels weirdly stitched-together, makes decisions (which I didn't mind) that'll infuriate core fans, and ultimately is miles less than the sum of its parts. A game you can tell struggled to find purpose/direction throughout its development
Metroid Prime 4: Beyond is enjoyable enough, and has glimpses of vintage Metroid shining through, but this game could and should have been so much more.

Honestly, not a mention of it on Bluesky. It's why I'll always have to dip my toe back into that hell hole after every football game.
Shoutout to that one Newcastle fan who over the course of one day was filmed shitfaced dancing in the middle of Marseille during the afternoon, being sucked off by some goth lass in the away end toilets during the game and then fighting with Marseille's riot police after.
