I have yet to see any evidence that there is a market for AI-generated books outside of people being tricked into thinking they are not AI-generated books. AKA, it is a project of scamming and deceiving people, and really should be treated as fraud

A lot of times people default to the logic of “we can’t get rid of this unjust system, because what will fulfill its role?” But if the system is unjust, it’s not fulfilling that role. It’s creating more harm. It’s the problem.

I didn’t read them until my kid read them. I read a ton of fantasy and sci-fi growing up. I liked the first few HP books. She missed the landing. The movies were..uneven. The follow-ups..lacked. Then she was revealed as a complete asshole and I haven’t touched the property since.

I saw them live at the Wool Warehouse in Albuquerque not long after this, opening for Bad Religion. We thought, ah there is hope for punk. They put on a great show. So did BR. I couldn’t hear well for days.

People are right to be incensed, but there are more names to uplift. ICE killed an immigrant man named Silverio Villegas González in Chicagoland. He had children. Victor Manuel Diaz was kidnapped in Minneapolis and died in ICE custody on January 14. Their names deserve to be repeated, too.
