It is so difficult to get the benefits of solar power in multifamily rental properties to the tenants that some (not very sunny places like Vermont) states are allowing renters to buy their own plug in solar kits to put on their balcony ($2k for equipment). That is not the best solution.
Solar is 41% cheaper than fossil fuel today. Just sayin
