The vibe in Baton Rouge tipped from "Brian Kelly's got a lot of problems" to "Brian Kelly IS the problem" today, I fear for good.

Many of us didn't like the hire but tried to make the best of it... that's over. It's ugly, unwatchable ball and that's almost worse than the losses.

LSU had 2nd and goal from the 1 with 12 minutes to play. From that point on, they ran 8 plays for -1 yards and committed 2 penalties for an additional 15 yards loss.

Won’t take anything away from Vandy and Pavia, who I think are fun as hell every day but today, but the LSU defense got stops with the game in reach and the offense just couldn’t put drives together. This offensive staff is never prepared for the big moments, despite the talent.

Neither is 57 rushing yards, and that’s looking increasingly less fixable.

Credit to Chambliss, he made some big throws on third downs, especially.

At the end of the day, a one-score road loss to a good team doesn’t sink you, but the margin of error just got considerably tighter.

Offense simply disappeared in the second quarter, defense wore out late in the first half, and you could never quite make up for it.

Defense made it closer than it should’ve been, but 3 points off of 2 turnovers isn’t going to do it on the road in the SEC.
