Crisis orgs like the National Crisis Line (988) are often not safe for folks, especially BIPOC, LGBTQ+, first-gen, etc because they can and will call police to support "well checks", etc. The following are alternative crisis support options that do not contact police @inclusivetherapist.bsky.social

Communication is the number one reason couples come into my office - usually this means wanting to feel understood and validated, while experiencing some empathy for their experiences/perspectives. The Gottman-Rappoport Method is excellent for facilitating this type of communication. #couplestherapy
