That’s the signpost up ahead - your next stop…
This is one-part terrifying and one-part exciting.

I was fortunate to buy a PPC Cyberstorm for my A3000. I already have an 060 Cyberstorm, but not the PPC version. Curiosity killed the cat, I guess.

That means I need to some minor surgery. But first, a loving glance and speed test.

Please remind me why I still have a phone “app” on my phone?

Everything is so broken. Don’t get me started on unwanted texts, either.

Black Crypt (1992) - an Amiga exclusive - was the first game by the same folks who would team up with id Software to bring us Hexen and Heretic. They'd later go on to Soldier of Fortune and Call of Duty fame: Raven Software, in Wisconsin. Wish they'd return to Fantasy.

Well shoot. Sometimes getting a little late to the party DOES make an impression. Heads will turn.

Just learned that if it wasn’t for a demo party I organized — Rendezvous ’92 — the people behind @badgerpunch.com would not have met, and we would not have the fantastic Roguecraft game on the Amiga. Contribute to the universe, and it will come back to you! 🥰 www.badgerpunch.com/title/roguec...

Such a legend.
Ms. Heineman will be sorely missed but not forgotten by those who were lucky enough to play the games she helped create. Bard's Tale, Wasteland, Dragon Wars, Tass Times and several important Mac ports.

It was such an honor and a pleasure meeting her in 2018.
RIP, Becky.

Don't think I've said this in 20 years, but I really wish I hadn't updated Macos to Tahoe 26. Not only does it look to be a janky mess, but the performance is degraded.

I can disable the glass via the Terminal which brings the performance back, but then important menubar icons vanish. It sucks.

Just a small sampling of some real family photos hanging on the bathroom wall of an Italian restaurant in Seattle. And to think Portland likes to own the tagline, “Keep Portland Weird.”

I was beyond lucky to acquire this in 2024. I think it was originally from an Amiga dealership from central or northern Oregon. In any case the light fixture inside was broken. I finally fixed it today and put an LED light in its place.

Shine on you crazy diamond, forevermore.

Today I published a video where I demo one of the most amazing pieces of hardware that was never sold - a pixel perfect Atari 2600 emulator in the form factor of a Sony Walkman. It could also emulate a C64... This video is a tribute to my friend who made it, and his brilliance. youtu.be/S0NU5KEuNuc
