I swear airlines make it as difficult as possible to use flight credits.
I had a sizable AA flight credit to use. I couldn't apply it online, called 1 agent who said I couldn't use it, and finally got another person to get it able to work; all in all over an hour of hassle.

I was able to place on hold Japan Airlines’ new business class from Tokyo to New York, for 60K AA miles.
I just don’t like the date though; I’m flexible but don’t want to be in Japan for an entire month. But surely I shouldn’t give this up, right?
