I had a nice little one and would leave it in my bathroom (or else I’d forget it) and use it after I showered while I dried my hair. I have sensitive eyes and it did not bother me, I think it did help some. They are way more intense (goes by lux) than lamps. Mine was Verilux.

It is! Or could be. Fic is one of the very last places where people are doing it because they love it - no fame/money/deadlines/contracts etc. That feels like something worth protecting fiercely. Now would a fic mag of monthly fics be amazing? Omg yes! Talent deserves recognition, maybe in a new way

agreed. But I don’t ever want publishing to crossbreed w our fanfic. The reason it is SO good (talent aside, obvs) is that it has not been through the toxic table of pubs where 8 guys sand all the sharp edges off and make it “palatable.” Fic is love for character/story in pure form. Secret treasure.
