I know a lot of folks don’t like the Salvation Army and that’s fine if you choose not to donate to them. But I will donate to Project Bundle Up every year. This is the 40th year of this community service.

I bought the remaining ingredients I needed for an eggplant curry only to discover that I only imagined that I had coconut milk. Mediterranean chicken was plan B.

I gave my mom one of those Freshcut pop-up cards for her birthday and I tell ya, I really like them. The Frick Museum has a few bouquet ones in their gift shop.

Friend: Do you know someone with a pig farm or a large compost bin? I have loads of mushrooms.

Me: No pig farm but I have multiple compost bins. How many mushrooms?

F: 5 pallets.

Me: How did you get these?

F: I don’t know. But they’re sliced.

Pittsburgh is excellent at turning churches into different spaces. If a theater opens up, can we make it an independent bookshop?
Brilliant. We need this everywhere.

What are your cats' morphed names, @jooblee.bsky.social and @pghsciencenerd.bsky.social?
Cat names should evolve like avant-garde jazz. By the time of a cat's fifth birthday the name by which it is generally known should have zero resemblance to its original name.

This is a surprisingly nice display and parking is easy. Plan on spending real time there--there is so much to see outside of this display, too!
McKeesport’s 40th Annual Festival of Trees opens at 12 noon today (Dec. 4) with more than 90 hand-decorated trees on display through Monday.

Additional activities take place at the #McKeesport Regional History & Heritage Center and the Garden Club:

These temperatures seem premature for December. These are late January/early February temperatures.

Glad to see someone challenging Reschenthaler. He's run unopposed in the last three elections. I hope to learn more about Bradstock.

It’s really strange that the Pittsburgh holiday market isn’t in Market Square this year and that there are no musical acts performing.
