Also a car from that era would cost around $800 (even in 1948 it was only around $1,500 so the price asked is either a plain joke written for kids to get or a specific reference to some piece of media from the era. Unfortunately I can't place it.

This 1948 story involves the 50ish-60ish Kents being regressed to their teen years (14-16) so is set around the time all those terms were in use/ popular. Those factors align to 1908-1910.

Wondering if they would've even released the names of Pretti's killers if they weren't so obviously South American sounding.

Something that should be at the forefront of the minds of every non-white who has chosen to work for ICE.

All were known or popular around 1908, when the 'Kents' were teens, which works out to them being born around 1890 and making them near 60 when the book was published.

Hold that tiger is from a football anthem
23 skidoo etymology is better explained in the wiki
The rest are self explanatory common phrases, though might have got a media bump from something.
Thought 13748 might be the date drawn, but realised Swan is American born.

Keep myself mostly isolated from the types that sneer at the victims so can't accurately guage, but sure seems to be a lot less jokes directed at them which is surely a promising sign itself

It's hard to maintain that amount of pure rage at something without it shorting out your own processors & numbing everyone exposed to it.
But there is a huge amount of it slowly burning under the jokes which is a positive sign.

Reenactment (based on how things usually went for Legion)

Editorial: GL sells. Put a GL on the team.

Levitz: Ok.

Editorial: You can't use GLs anymore

Here's my latest review. Earth-Man is forced to save insects by his Green Lantern ring and Saturn Girl gets drunk. One character is on the path to redemption and the other makes another bad choice.

Earth-Man saves insects! Saturn Girl and Cosmic Boy hookup and she wipes his memories... and she's the hero?? Let's look at Legion of Super-Heroes (Volume 6) #3 & Adventure Comics #517

Still convinced that a lot of that issue was Levitz setting up stories that DC editorial never let him finish (the GLs for one) and as for that Adventure issue... I still reduse to believe that book was published.

Machiavellian Sersi in AXE had some highpoints, but yeah.

Give us a book where she, Janet & Emma have a liquid lunch verbally eviscerating their mutual acquaintences instead.
