Authoritarianism doesn't happen in a vacuum. It requires enablers. When a leader posts fantasies of monarchical rule, and his entire party looks the other way, they become complicit. The issue isn't just Trump's posts; it's the institutional decay of a party that refuses to be a check on his power.

How do they know if they don’t even want to talk to Dems? Republicans are the ones not bulging! Re-open the government!!!! Talk to the opposition party! Don’t just dictate what you want. Yeah, you’re the majority but you don’t have the votes so you still need to negotiate with Dems.

Republicans veterans in Congress, Joint Chiefs Chair Dan Caine, and senior military officers continue to remain silent while Trump, Vance and Hegseth, week after week, give partisan political speeches to active duty troops.

It is a betrayal of their oath to the Constitution.

Zelensky is a very courageous man! An incredibly resourceful leader! He’s showing that the orange guy’s tantrum earlier this year about him not having any cards didn’t affect him at all! He knows his strength, it’s within! It’s his character, his fortitude! Slava Ukraine!
