Protestors believe that action has meaning. Protestors are exercising the rights enshrined in the Constitution. For me, protest is about love of country. I will be there on October 18th, and I hope you will be too.

Please join me in a new campaign to help protect Ukrainians in a very special way. My Ukrainian friends chose to call this campaign Freedom is Action. They are making an important point. One way to find our own courage is to act in support those who are showing it

This is not just funny, it's smart. We need more of this mockery that shows these thugs that we see their despicable fascism and give them the respect that they deserve.

Health insurance companies are finalizing their rates RIGHT NOW.

Doesn't matter if you're in a red or blue state, your premium might skyrocket.

And somehow, Republican senators are okay with throwing thousands of their own constituents under the bus.

It's been two weeks since Republicans shut down the government.

Reminder: they could come to the table and negotiate to reopen things today and restore people's health care coverage.

They're actively choosing not to.

House Republicans are now scheming to repeal the Affordable Care Act.

And take away healthcare from tens of millions of Americans.

How did that work out for the extremists the last time they tried it?

Can Republicans be trusted to fix the healthcare crisis they have created?

Hell No.

The American people know that Republicans shut down the government.

Democrats want to open it up immediately.

And decisively address the Republican healthcare crisis.

Coal miner's wife on Trump's deregulation of black lung protections:

“They’re mining a lot more now, the coal trucks are running, but there’s no benefits for the coal miners coming in... The coal miners have supplied this country with electricity, and now they’re just cast aside to die”

I'm old enough to remember when it was considered political suicide to criticize the United States while on foreign soil. The number of times Donald has crossed that Rubicon are too many to count.

To be clear, I fully agree with this. I just think the idea that Platner was going to waltz in uncontested is both naive and dangerous.

Mills is welcome to run, and I'm fine with figures in the party backing candidates who aren't Planter. I do think those figures deserve some light criticism when they're backing someone who was over the age of 20 when we landed on the moon

The whining about Janet Mills jumping into the Maine Senate race is pretty hard to take. It's fine and healthy for our candidates to run in contested primaries. It's dangerous to simply nominate people by acclamation based on internet vibes. Mills isn't even bad, she's just extremely old.

Janet Mills is a strong governor in a time of federal chaos; she can get a lot done once she’s term limited out-whether she gets it done at home or in DC. She will either win this primary and continue standing up to Trump or lose it and keep working on Maine’s responses. A strong party likes tests.

That’s exactly why the crying about it is so stupid! Beating Janet Mills is a great warm-up for beating Susan Collins.

This is what we need to get Susan Collins out of the Senate: someone who can beat a nice white grandma who’s won statewide elections!

Literally, this is what primaries are for

If Platner can't beat Janet Mills he probably can't beat Sue Collins.
