So interesting that we now know Trent as being super chill with things like not wanting to be in the spotlight with the Old Town Road sample or how he felt Hurt had become Johnny Cash's own.

Ok thank you! I was concerned people were like "let me stand up for older women!" As if they can't stand up for themselves, directly playing into what we are criticising lol. It really is quite scary the way older women become completely invisible to the world, as if our youth is what gives us worth

Again, that is what my thinking was but I asked because I would like to hear from someone who this would impact. I don't know how old you are but I would like to know if people are actually offended or if we're just offended on their behalf, which is not particularly helpful.

No I completely understand the reasoning and my gut reaction was that it seemed condescending but I have no interest in fighting a battle on behalf of someone who doesn't want me to. That's why I asked if it applied to you personally and you felt that way.

Genuine question: are you an older woman? I know older women who like to refer to themselves as grannies even when they aren't actual grandmas. If you're an older woman, do you find it to be condescending?
