Albanese is a true politician: appeasing the electorate by telling them fairy tales but effectively doing the opposite.

The Albo government is very concerned about making sure the very rich stay very rich

The Albo government is also very concerned that foreign corporations don’t have pay too much (any in most cases) tax in Australia

This is how Albo ‘fights tories’

Let’s hear his log cabin story again..🙄

I have gone from using cash to credit card and now back to cash (where I can) as credit card surcharges would have cost me about $500.00 per annum.

It looks certain that Albanese will squander the goodwill and trust of the electorate.

No real action on the climate catastrophe, WA NWShelf Woodside project, #NACC dud, wrong appointments, Jillian Segal, AUKUS, and all the rest.

What Albo has not done, NG, CG Tax, housing, gambling, lobbyists in Parliament Houses 24/7, etc will be his legacy. A lost one off golden opportunity.

In Gaza or anywhere else, an ambrosial holiday resort "like no one has ever seen before", a "riviera of the Middle East" boasting "a colossal golden statue of Trump", or a peace plan to bring this about that is "an amazing thing", will not make the hatred go away. #auspol #warcrimes
The half-life of humiliation and the hunger for revenge
The trauma, humiliation and rage of those that survive are concomitants of the indiscriminate killing with impunity and the deracination of innocent men, women and children by the invaders and occupiers of a country.

@albomp.bsky.social is sending billions to US & UK shipyards for #AUKUS and then can’t find money to support the core science necessary for future industry innovation, protection of the environment and improved quality of life. He’s short-changing our future. #auspol
Albanese urged to ‘secure the future of science’ as CSIRO reckons with ongoing decline in funding
CEO Doug Hilton says the agency’s budget allocation ‘has not kept up with the cost of doing science’

Another part of his legacy will be the climate catastrophe his government contributed to.

Looks very much like a protection racket.

I don't hold any hope for Labor being better.

I guess being able to dialogue in a civil manner is not important to you.

Goodbye.

Whether you are wrong is immaterial. What is relevant is your lack of civility.

You are prone to hyperbole aren't you?

I said "more unaffordable" which is a far cry from "wrecking".

And the economic theory of supply and demand predicts that when demand increases, which is what lowering the deposit to 5% will do, while supply is static means housing price will increase.

Your point was to belittle me by making spurious claims about me when you don't know me at all. You just assumed and attacked.

It is attitudes like yours that make social media toxic.

Ironically, I agree with your point-of-view - many policies are contributing to make housing unaffordable.

@albomp.bsky.social says #FOI costs the Govt too much. When I FOI’ed Treasury in 2023 for briefs it had provided Jim Chalmers on stage 3 tax cuts, the Govt spent $53K resisting public disclosure. They lost! The taxpayers lost! FOI is not costing too much - Govt secrecy is. #auspol

Pray tell how you know that I never "gave a shit"?
alflow.bsky.social
I didn't mention it but that doesn't mean I am not cognisant of it.

My point is that Labor was making the situation worse.

They just pretend they care.
alflow.bsky.social
Labor have made housing more unaffordable via the 5% deposit scheme.

Albanese's actions on housing are performative theatre to pretend he's doing something.
alflow.bsky.social
The Voice Referendum has taught Albanese that being courageous is foolish and further entrenched that being a small target is a winning strategy.

A government under him will not meaningfully tackle housing affordability.

Still waiting for it to trickle down...

Australia has gotten rich off China so I don't think money is truly the answer.

In fact, thru AUKUS, we are subsidising the US with taxpayer money.

Tradition - it's very difficult to change long ingrained habits.

Plus Australian governments are still racist.
