Uppskattar tydligheten och att det på SvD åtminstone fanns en redaktionell human-in-the-loop (eller at-the-end-of-the-loop). Hur ser framtidsutsikterna ut för översättare?
It's #AcWriMo — this blog post by @thesiswhisperer.bsky.social is a great place to begin: thesiswhisperer.com/2012/10/23/w.... Annotating papers and incorporating notes into Notion is essential to my writing process, so that's where I've started. How was your start this year?

Keep posting, please. I'm yet see engagement across my research fields build up on Bluesky (which limits my engagement too — I'm part of my problem), but following your posts is a joy, whether soccer or elections. Hoping serious users on X will see this too. 🙂

it's not good for kids to read books because it will prepare them for college, or for work, or for seminary, it's good for them in the moment because it helps them grow, in any number of unpredictable directions

People are losing faith in democracy’s ability to deliver social progress. But are democracies better than autocracies at promoting economic growth, alleviating poverty, and creating healthier, more educated, and more peaceful societies? On all counts, the answer is yes.

Tickets bought to Refused's farewell gig in December. Millencolin to support. Almost feel like 15 again.

Academic authors, here's a peek into the black box of journal publishing from an journal editor if you can bear it:
Inspired by @roberttalisse.bsky.social, I tried to find some of my old concert tickets the other day but haven't found the right box so far. One of my social media apps then reminded me of this, posted on this day 12 years ago. Cornell's voice and lyrics are dearly missed.

Bluesky is for sure the (?) top platform for scientific chatter currently (with LinkedIn).

But frankly, more engagement is needed here and transitioning from #academictwitter is part of broader fragmentation. And 🦋 is still incredibly US based, also for research.

Scientists Are Flocking to Bluesky
Academics once loved Twitter—but in the age of X they’ve abandoned it in droves.
