The briefing with Hegseth and Rubio only reaffirmed what we already knew: the Trump Administration is in clear violation of domestic and international law—and our own Constitution.

One of my weird hobbyhorses is that a standard university education is almost always going to make this, the correct view of history, unthinkably distasteful.

There are a dozen Billy Joel songs that aren’t terrible.
My advice: Like what you like and don't worry about anyone who tells you it's cringe. Life's short and the world's on fire, and as long as you're not hurting other people, you're fine. I mean, I still like U2, too! I don't care who knows it. If other people don't like that, that's a them problem.
I love U2. I feel like I could have glided along, enjoying them, if it wasn’t for that damned internet. Now I am on the defensive or lying low with my fandom. That’s happening somewhat now with Taylor Swift. She’s the biggest star in the world but the backlash has begun. “Mom pop”?

Moving the goalposts into an alternate dimension is certainly one response to a country that filmed itself showing no quarter to drowning civilians.

I don’t care what Maj. Cotton says. I’d like to decide for myself. Release the video.
Q: What did you see in the second strike?

Cotton: "I saw two survivors trying to flip a boat -- loaded with drugs, bound for the United States -- back over, so they could stay in the fight."

New: Reuters has tallied job losses, suspensions and investigations stemming from the reaction to Charlie Kirk's Sept. 10 assassination. Its findings: More than 600 Americans have been punished, and the figure is likely to be an under-count.

I think this bag is fake.

Hermes's flagship products are handsewn using a saddle stitch. A worker marks the leather using an awl and then threads two needles through from both sides.

This results in a tight stitch with no holes between the stitches. The holes here suggest the bag was machine sewn.

Trump Is Right: Ditch the Filibuster
The tactic is a deformed anachronism. Its demise would benefit the whole country, and Democrats especially.
