We're deeply saddened to learn of Dr. Jim Parker's passing. A leading figure on Public Lending Right, he devoted his life to ensuring authors are paid fairly when their works are used. He'll be missed dearly and our condolences go out to his family at this difficult time.

We welcome the progress made by the Government in appointing a Freelancer Champion, which has been one of our long-standing campaign goals. We look forward to contributing to the work ahead and hope to see a suitable appointment made swiftly.
