So the voicebanks still have to be purchased separately according to Yamaha's official updated website for the mobile Vocaloid editor, but it appears that a subscription is necessary to use the editor itself now. I don't think there is a plan to grandfather in editor license purchases from before.

They also made it a subscription model though, sadly. It's only 660 jpy per-month but I feel like it's not a great sign for the future of desktop Vocaloid that they've gone that way.

Yasutaka nakata does produce kinda like a vocaP honestly, especially with how he handles vocal processing. Other people he writes and produces for like MEG and kyarypamyupamyu (the few he's done for her that is)have the same vibe.

The Mobile VOCALOID Editor has now updated to 2.0.1.

With this update, it has now moved to a subscription based model (660yen a month), and now has support for VOCALOID:AI synthesis.

The app will now come with VY1 Lite and the recently teased voicebank, asa.

Important note: the Piapro NT software is NOT Vocaloid. They're 2 different softwares, and Piapro NT has not had cross synthesis before, while Vocaloid has. It is neat to see that feature added to Piapro NT though, it's slowly catching up with other softwares in some features at least.

Absolutely, especially when trying to research things or check multiple sources for things because it's hard to tell what is a real source and what is chat GPT regurgitating nonsense, Now that these sites are including fake chat GPT written profiles of "writers" as well to try and look legitimate.

Like releasing the epstein files isn't going to actually DO anything. All of the branches of government are in his pocket right now, there's nobody to prosecute (persecute?) him. Nothing is going to happen other than further confirmation that he's a vile piece of shit, which we don't honestly need.

I understand why there is focus on the Epstein files, but what do people genuinely expect their release to do? There's footage of trump & Epstein chilling at a party together. Shouldn't we be focusing our energy on something more important than releasing something that confirms what we already know?

I'm honestly quite surprised with how broken the bluesky app is compared to how long it's been out. It crashes randomly on me all the time and I must have put "show less like this" on sports stuff over 40 times now and I still get shown it in my discover feed.

Yeah, it's quite a bit of a mess, unfortunately. I've had to start restricting the dates of search results to like 2023 and earlier. Otherwise, I just get shown a bunch of slop.

No! Guilded is shutting down! My family & I've used it as a Discord alternative ever since they forced all of those AI photo manipulators into all servers, & we had more stable calls and far lower CPU usage under guilded, so this sucks. There's no alternative, so we have no choice but to go back 😢

She sounds better than NT/NT2, thank goodness, but I still think V4x sounds better honestly. I think a lot of people are still going to feel that there's no need to upgrade, myself included in that.
