Hi there! I'm Aki! I enjoy doing many creative projects, from original board games to paper crafts. I'm excited to share my tabletop creations as well as whatever other creative projects I'm working on here! I talk about this more on my other socials, links in bio! ^^
I love these wallet-size games by Buttonshy! They're complete card games that come in a package that fits in this little wallet. Many of them are really good for solo gaming on the go, but some of them are great as multiplayer games too c:

I've been working on the lore of my card games for a bit today. It's been fun! ^^ I enjoy getting to write some historical fiction lol

One of my favorite video games is a god-game called WorldBox! I have hundreds of hours on it, but I don't really play god very much with it. Instead, I like to watch civilizations rise and fall while chronicling all of it like some all-seeing historian and statistician xD

I appreciate tabletop games that go the extra mile to provide variety. Variety in ways to play, or having achievements are all lot of fun and provide a lot of mileage for the game! These are definitely things I strive to have when it comes to the games I make and ones I buy ^^

Went to a local art event the other day! It was a lot of fun and I'm always very inspired by events like these. Here's a couple pieces that really stood out to me as incredible!

I feel like it's uncommon for board games to have stories in them. The "story" emerges by playing the game with how the players play and interact with one another. But I like the idea of adding actual lore to board games! I want to make a connected universe of lore for my card games ^^ #lore #create
Here is the finished product of the WIP I posted a bit ago! It's a cute little tropical scene c: I really like how it turned out, and I think it's a fun and interesting spin on what would otherwise be a more simplistic piece of art. What do you think? :D

I'm super excited to have gotten my first feedback on a card game that I've publicly released! I feel like a real game-maker now haha (check out my previous post about FIRE ^^)

WIP time! Yesterday, I was writing in my lined notebook and was inspired to use the lines as (literal) guidelines to make a doodle with. I thought it was cool and so I'm turning the concept into a fuller piece of art! I wonder if you can tell what it's supposed to be so far...

Games that simulate life are so fascinating. I love seeing ecosystems evolve and change. The Life Engine is a web browser "game" that I spend time watching every now and then whenever I'm bored and remember about it lol

I was feeling overwhelmed and tired and I had the instinct to go make art- something random, it didn't need to be anything in particular. I really did feel better after making it, even if it only took a few minutes. It's a good reminder of how art can serve as a good emotional outlet c:

Picked up this board game called Paleo from my public library recently! It's something I've been wanting to play for a while, so hopefully I'll enjoy it when I get the opportunity to! Support your local libraries, everybody, I'm sure they're doing cool stuff ^^

Also, to answer the original question, firefighting cards are kept in a separate discard pile to count against your score at the end of the game after their abilities are used.
Hey! I just realized that happens in dark mode! Should be fixed now to let you see the rules for the firefighting cards. Thank you for trying out my game! <3
Here it is!!! I've finally gotten my original card game, FIRE, to a playable state for a design content on BGG! If you play it, I hope you enjoy it <3

Shoutout to Cascadia! What a wonderful board game; it's one of my favorites! I'm *always* a sucker for nature theming c: and it's got really good fun strategy. I really need to play it more.. I have so many games I need to play more lmao ^^;

I'm considering participating in the 2025 Traditional Deck Game Design Competition on BoardGameGeek! I have a game I'm developing called FIRE that uses a traditional deck of playing cards that I think could be a good fit. I'm gonna be writing feedback for some games that are participating in it!
