Skip the whistle. Let’s get these 140db personal safety sirens.
Logging in today and I see that @kevinmkruse.bsky.social has tagged in for @radiofreetom.bsky.social. Making a reasonable and nuanced observation that immediately causes people who are unable to balance multiple ideas at once to fully meltdown.
When I explain that boycotting an election over an issue has never once forced a politician to embrace that issue, I'm not "scolding people to vote." I'm explaining reality.

Feel free to sit on your ass! Just don't pretend that your lazy apathy is somehow going to advance your agenda.
And they got in those lifeboats before the iceberg was visible to most passengers and after they had already locked in the ship's course.
OK, I’ll bring him shortly
It would be spectacular if we could stall all efforts to rebuild. Maybe shame the sponsors into clawing back money, take everything to court, anything to delay completion until he’s out. On the flip side, letting him build it and then knocking it all down on Jan 21, 2029 would be great too.
But will she remember.
Kristen for comedy. Keri for drama.
The recap gives you just enough, and the first episode focuses on what just happened. It picks up right where it left off.
and another thing: im not on the record. please dont put in the newspaper that im on the record.
If you haven't done it yet, find time to participate in a protest/rally in your area. It will change your perspective, you will feel less anxious about what is happening, and it's incredibly affirming to see all these other people that know what you know.
As someone who attended their first protest this past weekend I can see that this will now become a more regular and easy thing for me to do. I'm one of the people he's talking about in this statement, and that just makes me more determined.
On my way to my first ever rally. I’ve had enough. I’ve got three pre-teen kids and I’d be ashamed if this is the country we leave them. #NoKingsDay
I think what it boils down to is you figure you’ve been around for 40 years, you’ve seen and heard a lot of birds, and by this point you feel confident that you should be able to identify the ones around. It’s like the whole 10,000 hours to become an expert thing.
It seems maybe they don’t like puppies. Perhaps they should both lose.
I guess it depends on what you’re reading. I read, or should I say listen, to a lot of science fiction. I do it at 1.25x. Any faster and I would definitely miss plot and I would have no idea what’s going on. If I was listening to some self-help or non-fiction book, faster would probably be fine.
Couldn’t make it past the out of sync cowbell. I nearly stroked out.
This is the best thing about Bartiromo. No matter how laughable her statements (or her guest’s) are she will still state the raw data and facts. Then she just moves on like those facts don’t matter.
If my mother is any indication they don’t care. As long as the rest of their life is easier for them (this is perceived of course, because it is demonstrably not better). They care little for what they leave behind and those that will follow them.
The best comedy writers that ever existed, together with the wittiest satirist that ever wrote a script, couldn’t have imagined what’s happening right now
This post must be from the future, because that’s usually the kind of thing we discover around 8 PM.
Democrats want to save healthcare, Republicans are ready to cut food assistance programs to impoverished communities, and yet…

Energy Secretary Chris Wright on Fox: "We're announcing today expanded programs to help the American coal industry. We're helping it because for years it has been under assault. It was out of fashion with the chardonnay set in San Francisco, Boulder, and NYC ... coal just makes the world go round."
What I think is worse, is that the kids (my kids) that see these things online don’t understand that they’re staged. Some of them see this and think that humiliation is a way to make money. And then 20 years from now we will wonder why people are even more screwed up than they are today.
OMG thank you for this post. I kept forgetting to look this up. We have so many acorns I’m afraid it’s going to kill my grass. It’s just insane. I assumed it was something like this, but had never heard of a last year until your post.
