Great changes to Standard. More or less exactly what I would have done in WotC's shoes. The Pioneer ban makes a lot of sense to me, although I wish I got to play the format enough to really explore the implications. Mid-RC Modern ban was never happening.

Congratulations to friend of stream Tristan on re-qualifying for the PT seconds ago! He is an incredible player who has been on the grind for so long and there is absolutely nobody I would rather see make it back.

I went 2-2 to 11-2 at the GP last weekend, which I am proud of regardless of the result. But then I looked back and learned that the last two times I q'd for the PT I, at some point, won 9 matches in a row. I guess you just need to go on a run to do well in Magic in general.

At the moment, if a player is disqualified at some event A, is there any mechanism whatsoever to prevent them from playing event B, presuming A and B are run by different Tournament Organizers?

I have watched @tiddypills.bsky.social go from one of the strongest up and coming players on the NRG circuit to more or less retired to the Regional Champion of the United States. I have tested with her for numerous events and she never fails to keep things fun. Congratulations to Jesse!
